Hello all,

I was wondering if this forum may be able to assist me in a little project...

I have removed the electronic control board from a micro servo to use it as a two way speed controller (forward and reverse). It seems to work very well except that the pot (variable resistor?) seems to be redundant. Is there a way that I could replace the pot with a fixed resistor? If so what would the value of the resistor be and how would it be connected (there are three connections to the pot and there would only be two to a resistor?).

Many thanks and I'm sorry for my rather basic description but as you can tell I know very little about electronics.

TIA

JT.

the pot should be 5K ohms (but check anyways) so use two resistors, each with about half that value. wire them to mimick the pot-one end of each goes to where each outer wire of the pot was connected and the other ends go together where the wiper lead of the pot was. simpler to do than to explain...

Thanks-I'll give it a go. :)
