fwiw, Target is clearing out their GPS units at the sporting goods section; managed to pick up the last one here ... Garmin Etrex for $25. iirc they have 2 other Garmin units which are the higher end Etrex ones which got snapped up quickly (one has magnetic compass and barometer).

Has anyone else found this deal? I called a local Target and they said nothing was on sale or clearance.

I checked a couple Target stores here, and they were still $100. I will keep checking though.

Hmm, strange ... fwiw the local Target here always seem to be one of the last (regionally and nationally) to mark down their stuff (comparing with other posters over at deals website (eg, anandtech).

clarification - markdown schd. as in what's marked down on Mon, Tue, etc ... fits to a 'T' at the 3 Targets around town here. Did not see a head's up on the GPS markdown on any website, just happen to see it when I walked by.

I Have seen Garmin Etrex (the yellow one, their are many other models) for $75 bucks.
