As a rough estimate, 25 mph. This is presumably with 12 cells and metal X443 prop. It all depends how it is set up - maximum speed and manoeuvrabilty are not very compatible concepts. Nor is it very compatible with electonics life. Many people have cut down the Electro V to reduce height. Other speed tips to the hull include squaring edges of hull side/transom bottom joints with putty to avoid rounded edges, adding strakes to the hull bottom etc. By that time theres very little original about the boat. The 700, btw, is (nearly) always used in direct drive.

http://www.offshoreelectrics.com carries most Octura props if there is no retail source in Taiwan. Look at the pages on that site for prop preparation. They are only rough cast and need polishing and balancing but, properly finished, they're good for an extra couple of mph over the Graupner Carbon Fibre props.

pacro, I fyou want more speed go to Fine Design and check out the Speed 700 SS1. Probably the fastest motor of that type. Has won many races and is used in Offshore racing type hulls. Good luck with yours. John Z

A "guestimate": between 15-20 Mph, depending on the set-up.

A speed 600 runs best on 7 cells and a 37,5K Graupner Hydroprop, direct, surface piercing drive.
Watercooling the can is advisable, on 8 cells a must, cool the brushes aswell.
With the gearbox you can turn a 40-42K hydroprop.

Keep in mind that the hull size is more suitable for the more powerfull 700 motor, so don't expect miracles, speedwise.

I've got Key Biscaine, similar boat with electro vee. I use a Speed 700 Neodym without gearbox with 14 cells and Graupner K series 42 mm propeller. The result is good.
