I hadn't flown my Kalt Whisper for years due to its marginal performance
with NiCds big enough to get a 5 minute flight.
I recently broke down and got a LiPo 3 cell 2100mah pack for it. Wow -
what a difference. It flies for around 10 minutes on a charge, and
actually climbs out fast.
It has an old Astro "Whisper 05" brushed cobalt motor and an old style
ESC. I have a modern ESC in another plane that I'll try next. If all
goes well maybe I'll invest in a brushless motor.
Does anyone know what brushless is mount compatible with the old Astro
05 (mounting screws on the front of the can)?
