I just ordered my Aqua Jet Nitro (first boat) and want to thank everyone for the info here, especially Ron Olson and his wealth of knowledge. I ordered it from OffShoreElectrics and Steve was extremely helpful, answering all of my questions.
A side note: I sent several emails to Cen and even called them but never got a reply or a call back.

But can you help me with the following: Which nitro fuel to start with and what glow plugs will work with the NT16?

My hobby shop said that for break-in start with 20% Nitro 14% Oil and then switch to a higher oil content whether it's a truck or boat? Is this correct or what?

Second, what plugs can I use? I don't want to only have to use Cen's!

I have tried in vain to find the exact issue(s) of RCBM that give info on improving/modifying this boat. Can anyone tell me which issues? How can I get more info such as turning the head???, increasing the water line size, etc. that you folks refer to.

Once again thanks for the info at this forum.

You're very welcome. I've had a little experience with the CEN Racing boats, my Grey Thunder and a friends Aqua Jet.
I rotated the head on mine 90 degrees just for the fact that I don't like the water inlet line right over the top of the carb.
Use whatever fuel that you plan on using all of the time, the motors get used to it.
I have McCoy MC-9's that I use on all of my boats from .12 on up.
Fuel, buy the good stuff. Oil content with 18-20%. I've run mine with 50% nitro but I don't recommend it, 20-30% is fine.
The biggest improvement that you will see on this boat at the lowest cost is swapping out the prop. An Octura X437 or X637 are both good props for it. I've heard of some people running an X440/3 but it might be a bit too much.
For longer run times, a Sullivan SS-4 fuel tank fits right in place of the stock tank.
You don't have to upgrade the stock head, it does fine for cooling.
Any other questions, I might be able to help.
The article that you are looking for may be in this years Buyers Guide issue of RCBM.
