Does anyone know of a source of a pre-built model of the Chris Craft Barrelback speedboat ?? I have seen some out there for $1200, but I'm not THAT anxioius ! I just love the lines of these things and want one for my den. I know there are kits, but I don't trust myself to do a really professional job.....
Thanks !

Trust yourself! Have some faith in your ability. There's so much more pleasure in it when you made it yourself.

Well, if it is just for the den, there are the non running "Riva Aquamara" models for a fourth of that price.

It seems to me that Kyosho offered an abs hull chris craft for a while, but I can't seem to find any references for it. A Dumas kit may be your only other best option. If you enjoy modeling at all, these kits are not to difficult to build up.

You can do a good job. A friend of mine is working on one as his 2nd model. My model inspired him to start. The worst part was scratch building the trailer, I did that by eye. I added working lights, and replaced the vac-formed seats with foam and vinyl upholstery.
