This recent "impact" of my Slowstick took me completeley by suprise. I was trying to change the ch2 (rudder) reversal switch, but for lack of a better tool in the field I used a key. Not paying much attention, so my finger slips and suddenly the throttle channel has been reversed!!! My himax powered SS leaps off the ground and in a few seconds has plowed into the hard dirt to my side.
I stand there stunned for a moment, amazed at my own stupidity, but a post mortem reveals suprisingly little damage, just the wing mount and gearbox broken. Oh well, this was just an incentive to put some carbon rod on the wing+tail.

Moral: ALWAYS pay attention!!! And only mess with channel reversing while the prop is remeoved :o

Well you could modify that slightly to something like- only connect up and make the model "live" with the model properly restrained. That will cover more eventualities than just messing with channel reversal.

Glad you never suffered too much damage.
