Hi,

In order to make charging my lipo packs safer, I purchased a Poly-Quest PCM-Guard. It prevents overcharge due to cell imbalance. In order for it to operate, your battery packs have to have a Poly-Quest Multi Connector installed. The following link shows how the Poly-Quest Multi Connector is to be installed.
http://www.aircraft-world.com/prod_datasheets/pcmguard.htm

I'm still not quite sure if I installed it correctly and wondered if anyone out there has installed one of these, successfully, and it they have a picture of the installation they could share?

If these were NiCads, I'd probably just plug it in and try it. I'm not willing to do that with lipos. :)

Thanks,
Bill

Hi Bill,

Send me a close-up picture of your pack with PCM Guard wires installed, and
I'll check it for you.
tech@aircraft-world.com

Let me know what cell type you have, and how many cells in the pack, just to
be sure...

Also, you need to follow the wiring diagram on
http://www.aircraft-world.com/prod_datasheets/pcmguard.htm
for the type of pack you have (2S, 3S, or 4S), and use your voltmeter to
check the connections.

All the Best,

David
AC
