I have a Futaba 5 channel FM RC radio set lying around doing nothing.
Is there an electric RC helicopter that I can buy and use my Futaba radio
with it. RTF would be preferable, but I could live with "some assembly
required". Thanks for any recommendations,
Don

You want to give attention to
- "swash plate mixing": What your radio offers needs
to be compatible with the heli you choose

- "gas curve" / "Idle up" or alternatively you need to invest
in a "Governor" to control the Head speed appropriately.

There are many other possible features but that would drift off into a
philosophical discussion. Which Heli is best is also philosophical....

best regards

Have a look at the Ikarus ECO 8. It can even be used with a 4 channel if
required.

You can choose from an English site or USA site depending on where you are.

Couple choices for you:
- You can buy a JR electric heli, Speed Control, and 1 Gyro. Then you
can use your 5CH helicopter. about $ 530
- You can also buy a ZOOM electric heli Speed Control, and 1 Gyro.
Then you can use your 5CH helicopter. about $ 390
- You can also buy a eSky or Jabo helicopter, but these kind of
helicopter come with everything included the transmitter. Ready to fly
too. about $ 150

I have had the Jabo II (New) for about a week and it stopped working.
It seems that the Main shaft has fallen so that the Main Motor gear
and Drive gear do not line up. If any one knows of websites or
location I can get a manual on how the shaft is conected to the Drive
gear and Main Rotating Head it would be greatly appreciated. I have
the User Instruction, which has a parts diagram, but I need something
I little more in depth. For the overall opinon of the Helicopter,
I'll just say, "you get what you pay for" :? By the way I won it on
ebay and paid about 144.00 USD with S&H
