I'm thinking about getting a Reflex XTR. I was just wondering what view angles are available. Is there an option to view the heli/plane from a real-life point of view? What I mean is does it view from the flyer's point of view on the ground or does it follow the heli/plane in the air?

It views from your point of view, and you can dial in your own height as well. Just got mine a week ago, and it's simply amazing! :)

You can change it to follow mode, but not keeping the graphics - they go back to the old style terrain graphics.

Is there any assistance in finding the runway. With G2 I always seemed to have a difficult time "getting back to the runway" after flying around awhile, even doing pattern work, turning final and actually lining up to the runway was pretty much guesswork. Debating whether to get XTR or wait for G3

Fred,
You must have never used G2's ground view. I personally think its the best of all compromises. You never lose view of the horizon. I'm surprised they don't set that as default.

Occassionally I did, but the plane always was so far away as I recall,... or I wasn't using it right.
