Hey all-
I'm looking to do a P-51D conversion over the winter. The great planes P-51 looks pretty good, but i'm not sure if I could pull this off as my first conversion. Here are the stats:

57" wing span
580 sq inches wing area
Weight (glow)= 6.75 lbs
27oz/square foot

I plugged these numbers into Motocalc, and it couldn't find a combination. Hard to believe that a big Hacker or Konotronik wouldn't work. Am I doing anything wrong? Has anyone converted this plane to E-power? I'd like to use NiMH - (12-16 cells) as I have a lot of money invested in these and no Lipos yet.

Thanks
Frank

Hi Frank,
Did you crash the airplane? Just going to rebuild it as an electric? Can you post pics?

Sorry- I though I was posting under general discussion. Don't know how I winded up in crash discussion.
