well its been 3 weeks sense i have been able to fly due to the weather and work. so i got off work early today and deside to put another flight on the trick 800. well it helps if you secure the battery. I forgot to put the velcrow back in and put the batery in put the home made batery and reciever cover on and went into the back yard to fly. was up for about 3 minutes and was hovering when the wind started to really pic up so i waited for the golfers to get off my runway( the forth fairway) flying the landing patern the battery fell out and she did a nose dive into the marsh( which is were ed live, our 6 foot gator that like to sunbath on the tee box ) well I lost the battery i was not going to lose the plane and the electronics so i ran back to the house put on some long pants and my boots and in i went with a garden hoe. (loL) well soaking wet and scratched up from the tall mash grass i immerged with my plane an hour later i had waled right by here 4 or five times and didnt see her. well she was dry as a bone and i was driping wet. Moral of the story is duble check everything again and agian cuz now i dont have anything to fly in the back yard, just the glow stuff

Way back in time I was flying a little parasol when it went down in about 8 to 10 ft tall grass (No water in this story). Looked for it for 4 hours--never found it.
Kept looking, on and off, for several months. Finally went into the tall grass by a slightly different route and there she was. Plane was warped all to heck but radio equip was OK, though I did sell it soon thereafter.
It wasn't the cost as much as just finding it that kept me looking. Bet if you're in RC for any amount of time a flyer will have a similar story.

I fly on 7 acres of my own, next to over 30 acres of family land with a little creek between us.... guess where I go down??
I think it is something in my past coming back to get me....
