My RC hydrofoil patrol guided missile is introduced. !
What is introduced here is the radio control model of hydrofoil patrol guided missile PG-01 of the Maritime Self Defense Force of Japan
:) which I manufactured originally. By the same water jet promotion as thing, using a hydrovane, the feature of this model ship surfaces and is run. Water is injected at high speed with the micro water jet pump developed originally, and it rises to surface and sails from the water surface by the hydrovane at the reactionary speed. By the hydrovane automatic control theory uniquely developed with the small gyroscope, the stability at the time of surfacing realized the stable run. Main spec. of PG-01 = scale 1:50 scale, a 7.2 V-nickel-Cd battery, the product made from aviation plywood, a 500 system electric motor, original manufacture water jet pump instol, a gyroscope control hydrovane system, full length =700mm, the above

Karakau ku nai.

The three new pictures are fantastic.
If it was not for work, I would have more done on mySparviero (http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=256908 (http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=256908)), and Fire boat (http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=77749&page=3). However, at this time, I need to get my jet pump working much more efficiently.

Any suggestions would be helpful.

Hello. Very nice pictures of the PG-01, impressive work. Umi, what type of prop are you using? I never did find my PHM-1 plans, still looking. I have over 400 rolls of plans, but with my job loss, work has been my priority. Working on and off with only temporary work sucks. I still want to get going on a PHM-1. Still want to make a model that stands out. Is your pump jet designed to be tilted? Because if not, perhaps the almost straight horizontal nozzle is the problem? I noticed Takahashi's appears to empty out, being forced down at like 30 or so degrees. Maybe that would increase the effeciency? -James

That is just a test bed, I won't be putting this set up in the boat.
It is too inefficient.

Hi Lewist,

At this time I have a two bladed octura propeller in the tube. I plan to move it further into the tube, and begin tapering it for a more conical shape. The first cone I created was too steep, and produced too much resistance for the thrust.

If Umi's comments mean that's fantastic or something similar, I can only agree.
