What ever happened to???

Schluter? I still have a Champion flying with a YS60. I've been out of the loop for some time and I'm actually in the middle of my first plane, a 43" P51d electric. I've never flown a plane, just heli's for 18 years (off and on). What are the best kits for 60 size birds? What ever happened to GMP? Are the electric heli's as good as the hype I keep hearing?

Oh man......lol you're in for a huge surprise! Take a look at the latest Thunder Tiger, X-cell, Bergen, Century and Hirobo lines! Have you seen some of the latest videos from the competitions?

I had a 50 and 60 size X-Cell when they were brand new. They were terrible. I know that they've come a long ways since then of course. Thunder Tiger is a name that was NEVER associated with heli's. I'm glad things have come so far. When I built my first Champion there were so few people flying them. We flew at a field in Torrance California near Ashton Tate software. Now there's a big Holiday Inn there as well.

Ashton Tate? Man, that brings back memories. That's where my brother started out with his Champion and where I was going to learn to fly helo's after I bought his helo - then I got involved in a move and things kind of went to pot in the RC department. Still have the Champ and was just thinking of getting it airworthy again but there are some problems...

Anyway, we used to hang out there around the late 80's, if you were out there around that time, we probably ran across each other at some point. It was a good group of folks there.
