Slow Stick Combat

I don't know where it started but we had club members come back from a glider competition where during a break they had GWS Slow Stick Combat and now that will be an event at our electric Fun Fly in Modesto on October 24. The rules are you must use the GWS flying surfaces and the Slow Stick fuselage but you can change your motor to any electric you want. You can remove the dihedral and add ailerons. You can cut down the wings and tape them if you want and certainly you can paint them but we must be able to see the Slow Stick in the plane. A streamer will be added to the plane and points are added for scoring kills and lost if you are killed. We will try it out next month and report back on how it turns out. Mike

if it was recently.... CASL club had this at there anual Southwest Clasics in Arizona. it went over very well. :)

Our members attended that event and came back with the idea for our Fun Fly but I read about it here on Ezone in another location even before that event. So my fellow club members became interested as a result of the event in Arizona. :D
