muffler kit

I have a k&b 3.5, and it is noisy as heck. I heard that there is a muffler kit for it. It is an older motor, so I dont know if they still make it. any info would be helpful.

Which one, inboard or outboard? They have made several versions of the inboard over the years but the outboard has been pretty much the same over it's 25+ years. The answer is yes either way.

well, i think it is about 3 years old. i got it used, and it is noisy as hell. I was at a hobby shop, and a guy said they make them. if you have any way to give me a link or place to get it, it would be extreamly helpful.

Yeah, sure they did and I'm Andy Brown! :D Which Hobby Shop is this and where is it at? No Hobby Shop makes the K&B motors, they come from a large Manufacturer in California. Three years old isn't old for a motor, some are just getting broken in at that age. Still, you have told me if it is an inboard or outboard motor.

Sorry, it is an outboard. they guy didnt say that the hobby shop makes them, he said that they are made. but he didnt know who makes them

Jim Irwin at Irwin's Pipes makes them for just about any outboard motor. Precision Racing Products has them, 707 Specialties among others. They aren't cheap but will give you boat a boost and quiet it down. MY K&B 3.5 OB's were running at around 86-87 dB's which isn't bad and legal for IMPBA and NAMBA racing.
