Have a Hitec laser 6 which works well with my indoor rc planes, my backyard flyers and both my Reflex and AFP sims. Would like to invest in a TX which let me do 3D in the future.
Don't want to spend too much.
Thanks

Might wanna look at the Futaba 7C or Airtronics RD8000.

I like my 9c and I know that it's really popular at my field.

If your Hitec works well now, think about stepping up to the Eclipse 7. You can get the tx only new for a little over $200, used for less as available.
Has all the mixing, d/r, EPA, model memory (7 planes), heli and glider modes, etc etc like the Futaba radios and such at a lower price point. Mine also has the Spectra module so I can transmit on all the 72mhz frequencies if I chose to do so.
Mine's been a real workhorse. Like most computer radios, takes some manual reading to get comfortable with setting up a plane, but its not ridiculously hard to program or use.
Do note--I'm flying parkflyers, mostly electric 3D. If you're talking about going 1/4 scale gassers or such things, I'd get the Futaba or JR, since they're the most recognized brands on the big stuff. If you're a sportflyer like me, with park planes and such, save a few bills, fly Hitec, and have a ball.

I love my Hitec Eclipse 7 with the Spectra module. Works beautifully! I have the QPCM receiver as well.
