Dave,
Ive never built a cd rom bl before. Is there good instructions with it? How do i determine what amps/volt sit can handle with what prop? Maybe some more info on your site is needed.
Ie got some 3s PQ lipos ( bought from AC world) to use.
Lookd like a great motor thoug. I want to use it as a speed 400 DD replacement or as a 350c replacement geared.

Hi Suntsu,
At the moment, the instructions are limited to the DataSheet on our website. I plan to add more details to the instructions later, but it really is quite a simple process. I think most users will be able to figure it out once they have the kit in hand, and have tried winding the stator once or twice.
The only tricky part is determining what wire to use for special applications - EDF, for example. For that, I'd suggest leaning on the experienced CD-Rom rewinders in the Zone forums. They have a ton of experience to share.
For most applications, the wire we supply is just right, single wound in delta. For small E3D models using 2S li-po, use a 9x3.8 prop. For S400 direct replacement use 3S lipo and about 7x5 prop.
I plan to do some different winds later this week (we just got the motors, as you know) and post the results. I also hope to have many contributions from users added to our page.
Cheers,
David

Hi Mike,
I had hoped to have a "winding party" with the tech staff this week, but it looks like it'll be the weekend. Hope to have results up Mon-Tue next week.
Btw, Have you seen our new E-Tec 450mAh 10C packs? Should the Pur-fect for IPS class models and a soft winding!
Cheers,
David

Hello Neal,
the discussion about these motors has moved to this thread

We did not have time to test much but in the other thread you will find a lot of information.
