Motor Questions

I am extremely new to the electric car world. I have a nitro HPI savage,
but when it comes to electric motors im lost. I have heard and read about
turns and the type of wire wound on it. can anyone sum up what this means
in respect to speed, heat, and performance? also what should I look for in a
motor for a Associated TC3 or Losi XXX-S?
