I have a Csm HLG-200 gyro and I am defiantly not expert in helicopters I can
hover a tank full of fuel and that's my limit, the problem I have is when
you don't apply any input on the rudder the tail is rock steady (or seems to
me to be ok ) but when you apply a rudder input the helicopter jerks round
about 6 inches if you look at the tail then steadies up again its not a
constant problem as most times I can slowly rotate around but due to my
flying not a full 360 as yet, could it be a gain problem or something else,
its controlling a futaba S9450 servo the helicopter is a Nexus 30 which I
brought second hand, I have found a few faults on it since I have had it
i.e. fore aft cyclic servo arm was upside down so the links were not at 90
degrees and the washer that holds the tail blade ball race on was to big and
stopping the tail blade pivoting I am thinking of striping it down to see
what else is wrong but then I have the problem of trimming it out again ,
but my trips to the flying field seem to be different to the other
helicopter pilots so I am a bit on my own at present
and yes I do switch on the transmitter then the helicopter then wait for the
gyro to steady its self before moving it to start it
