Will a simulator help you fly? Which is the best? Which cable is the best? Is there a simulator that has a EasyStar model?

I think you can download the easystar as a addon to aerofly pro.
simulators helps you fly,for me they really helped.
i would say that aerfly pro is the best of the ones i have tried(realflight, easyfly, piccofly, fms,rc plane master)

FMS is a free simulator which you can download from:
http://n.ethz.ch/student/mmoeller/fms/index_e.html
You can get a cable for your Tx and use it for FMS from:
http://www.milehighwings.com/joystick_cables.htm
The cable comes with a disk containing FMS and 500 planes. I'm sure you will find one to your liking.
Additional planes for FMS can be found at these sites:

"best" is tricky but the current 3 contenders are AFP, RFG2 and XTR.
As I only own XTR out of those naturally I'd say it is the best (however on RcUniverse there's a post from someone who has all three so I'll leave you to see what he thinks!
(and yes there's an Easystar for XTR though I have to say that it is NOT the easiest of planes to fly - if the XTR model is accurate (most but not all are) then I'd consider looking at something else - GWS Slowstick is universally considered the best plane to start with anyway)
