Is more pitch a higher number or lower number? I.E.

x435 is bored 1/8", 35mm dia and 49mm pitch.
x430 is bored 1/8”, 30mm dia and 42 mm pitch

Which one has more pitch?

Also, what is the rundown on 2, 3, and 4 blade props? Isn't the more blades the better?

One last question, I've hit some things in the water on a couple of occasions and both times it broke my plastic prop and rudder. If I was to put
metal on the boat and hit something couldn't that transfer the damage somewhere else on the boat? Instead of the rudder snapping, wouldn't that rip the mount right off the boat? thanks

49 has more pitch
more blades more thrust more amps not always more speed though.
2blades norm provide most rpm speed...
yes metal could cuase trouble to the stuffing tube mount...however the odds are better you will be ok...... metal hurts the water creatures.. can kill a turttle with ease... they tend to pop there heads out of the water to look around and then wammo the deed is done they get there little faces and sculls ripped up... other then that its the sticks and such you need to watch for.

Imagine pitch as the forward movement of the boat per revolution. That's in theory, but it never reaches that in practice.
Three blades have few practical benefits over two: slightly less prop-walk (the tendency of the prop to move the transom sideway in the water).
Plastic over metal? for general fun running plastic's good enough but less durable. The brass props are more expensive, durable but they take a lot of time to balance and polish properly.
