Good evening all. I thought I would post some photos I took of the Kansas City Soaring scale / towline / all around good day event. This was my first sailplane type event. I brought my 54" Acent and had a blast. I had the smallest plane, except an 18" sloper scratchbuilt project that had several short flights. I also had the only electric that I saw fly. The three towplanes, a Super Cub, Spacewalker, and Stinger (120?). all provided quick and uneventful tows to great altitude. I didn't remember many peoples names, so they may add the captions to my pictures.
Thanks, Ryan
The first, the flight line for the towline, there were two winches set up a bit down the field.

As I recall this is the first launch of the day. It was pretty cloudy and very cool for mid August (about 65 degrees).
The second two are of a DAW Ka6 getting ready for towing. This is the same aircraft that was on the November '02 cover of Model Aviation. It flew, and was flown very well.

I seem to be having some sizing problems. In photoshop, they're all 4x6, but here they are huge, and blurred. Sorry, I'll see if I can find out what I'm doing wrong.
This is probably one of my favorite pictures. It is just lifted off, in tow. I think it is a 1-23, but please correct me if I'm wrong.

This is the last one I have. I guess I was cropping before resizing, and that was messing something up. Hopefully this is fixed. It is of my 54" Ascent with the "regular" sized planes.
I would like to thank Tom Martin (www.tmrcsailplanes.com) for going out of his way to make this happen. I really enjoyed it, and hope to do some more of this.

Set your Digital camera to the E-mail position, usually the vga on a sony, then you won't have sizing problems.
Nice pics.
