I've looked over the various sims out there but none of them list adjustable wind speed/direction and possibly gusty conditions as options.
Im really not looking for a "pretty" sim where you can fly an SR-71, just something that will give me some practice flying/landing in cross-wind situations, and gusty conditions. also simluating servo/engine failures would be nice too. ( I know Realflite G2 does the latter...)

thanks for any tips.

butcherbird,

FMS 2 alpha 8.3 has wind and direction plus gusts.

Give it a try, very challenging flying light models in moderate winds.

Links to many other FMS sites from My WebPage. (http://gunnerson.homestead.com/files/fms_models.htm)

thanks GG. being able to program wind speed and direction is exactly what I want. gusts are a bonus. FMS sounds like it might be a good option. Im thinking there must be a way to use my JR 662 Tx with it too. I might have to do some digging.
take care,

Hi,
Realflight G2 has a weather control option including wind direction and gusts.
It can make landings very challenging...
