1. Make sure your R/C radio has a working trainer port and is in FM mode (NOTE: Your R/C radio must have FM select ability. An R/C radio in PCM mode will not work with the Interlink Controller). You will also want to ensure that your radio has a good charge on the battery.
2. Using the included adapter cords, connect your R/C radio to the Interlink. If your radio does not turn itself on automatically (when the adapter cord is plugged into the trainer port), then turn your radio on at this time.
3. Start up RealFlight.
4. At the top of the RealFlight window, select the "Options" menu, then "Controller Calibration...". This will call up the Controller window.
5. From the Controller window, you should see that the current selection for Controller Type is "Interlink Controller: Joystick Mode". Joystick Mode means that the software is only looking for inputs from the Interlink Controller (this is the default setting). To "tell" RealFlight to start looking for your R/C radio, you'll want to open the Controller Type drop-down selection box and click on "Interlink Controller: Interface Mode".
Once Interface Mode is selected, you should see two things happen. First, the Interface Wizard should pop up on you screen. This Wizard will help you calibrate your R/C radio with RealFlight (you will need to calibrate your R/C radio with RealFlight before you can fly). Also, the green "TX Interface" LED will light up on the Interlink Controller itself. As long as this green LED is lit up, you should expect that RealFlight will only accept inputs from your R/C radio.
6. When you are ready to switch back to using the Interlink Controller, you will want to again select the Options menu, then Controller Calibration. From the Controller window, switch the Controller Type option from "Interlink Controller: Interface Mode" back to "Interlink Controller: Joystick Mode". Once you are back in Joystick Mode, the green LED on the Interlink will turn off, and control should be returned to the Interlink Controller.
