Hi
I have just bought a "fixer upper" needs a bit
of work but im not sure what make or model
it is, it came with a Dodge Viper body,
its 4WD, it has a sports tuned Tamiya motor
so im guessing its a Tamiya car. The only other
feature is "cam loc" rear wheels, is it supposed
to have cam locs on the front too?
Where would be a good place to get the suspension
drive shaft parts i need for this car online?
here is a pic of the car.

Thanks for your time.

ahahaa,
you have a Tamiya avante 2000.
if you looking for parts, Egress parts are also available for that car.
Some history
The first car with that (badtub) chasis was a vanquish so some part proable
fit.
The Egress came later as a full option carbon chasis hopup suspention,
titanium screws, bearing steering etc...
after the egress the avante 2000 came with a cheaper setup. black epoxy
chasis, plastic suspention and bushes instead of bearings.
i had a secondhand egress, and raced 3 times to a 3rd place at clublevel
about 12~13 yrs ago..
So not a bad car. the Egress time ended with the releas of the mantaray and
topforce car.

Wow, thanks for the history lesson, sounds like you know your stuff.
Im not sure I can be bothered to fix it up now, I think I will save for a nitro
car, Im selling my 1:8 nitro Kyosho quad bike on ebay, maybe that will go
towards an overpowered 4wd truck :)
Thanks for your help
