Any one have any good ideas for a low cost alarm for a lost battery alarm?
The problem is while doing full contact zagi combat the members in our club have lost several batterys. Unlike a lost plane finder, the battery is no longer hooked up to the receiver so we need a device to sound a alarm only when ejected from an airplane, its easy to get to the general area just can't find the battery, so the device would have to be attached to the battery.
Thanks

Brightly colored packs and long yellow streamers should help.

Dr., Dr. it hurts when I fly like that.

Or, try to design a better battery hatch, e.g. it seems like a mechanical problem requiring a mechanical solution, not electronic.

Thanks for the replys.
It looks like a combo of streamers and a better fastner system then.

Tape the battery and locater together. Usualy the battery is not to far from the impact site.
A normal locator will start sounding if it still has power but is not connected to the receiver, right? I've never actualy used a locator, although I could have used one today. New weasel, new slope and head high weeds.
