I’m posting here to announce that I now produce frequency pins very similar to the ones Cool Pins produced a few years ago. I’m basically making the full sets for club use without a lot of customization. I prefer the red numbers on yellow background. It seems to be the most visible. I’m not entirely inflexible though. I would be willing to use different colors. I’ve made sets for some of my local clubs and they have been well received. Our basic plan is for a local hobby shop to buy the pins for the club and use the top part of the pin for advertising, which can also reduce the cost to them.

Please see www.FreqPins.com
My website design leaves a lot to be desired but the pins I make look much better. I’m still making a few tweaks on the graphics for both!

I intend to provide a quality product and good service. I hope when your club needs new pins you will consider my service.

I worked for a major Fortune 500 retailer in the sign department for a while. You are correct, we discovered that the most visible was black over yellow followed by red over yellow. The corporate trademark is black letters over yellow sign with red border. Can you guess the company? Going to your wesite now.

cadconversions - I keep thinking of different companies that it might be and looking them up on the web but so far I'm striking out. I give up, who is it?

Thanks atlantae. Hope to run across you at a local field sometime.

The most stores we opened while I was with them was over 700 in a single year plus relocated around 300 or so. I was in charge of field construction supervision. Great company. I'm sure there's probably 5 within walking distance of your home :)

You're right. It's just three or four miles down the road. And I do seem to see them everywhere.
