How do you do tic tocs. I'm trying to do them in Reflex XTR, but I don't know how. Anyone care to teach me?

for a tail down tic toc, pull up vertical with positive collective, as you pass the vertical plane start to feed in some negative.

forget this, too dificult to explain, I will make a recording and post it for you.

here is my recording, nothing special but I think you can watch the sticks and get a feel for it.

For reference I was using the raptor 50V2 tuning model

put it in your demo folder in your reflex folder then open it from within reflex

Thanks Tabby, when you say I can see the sticks, do you mean I can literally see the sticks in XTR? Cause I didn't see them, and after watching the moves, I just tried to mimic it. And, I did what I thought I had to do, but I keep losing altitude and crash.

Edie, I just watched it myself and I guess you cant watch the sticks.

To learn these moves I would fly something that has more power then in real life and get the motions down, then you can learn on the normal helis once you understand the motions.

To try and describe the move, basically you are transitioning from positive to negative pitch while at the same time going up and down on the elevator. Basically the sticks should almost be going opposite ways-

pos collective-up elevator
neg collective-down elevator

Then you just have to work out the balance of these inputs so you dont bog the motor, and dont let the heli lose altitude.

Good work! Feels cool to pull it off in Reflex doesnt it??. It is a great Sim, I think we should start posting more recordings of flights on here to help each other learn new things as well as other peoples techniques.

It was sweet! But I wonder how different it would be in real life. :D I think that's a great idea too. A "sticky" maybe with instructions and perhaps some dmo files would would be pretty cool since it's a pretty small file. I wonder if rcgroups would host it though...

What we really need are videos of the manouvers with the stick commands in a picture in picture box.

There some Realflight G2 vids of 3D planks doing this but i havent found any of 3D helis yet.

That would be cool too. Too bad there are no stick movment boxes in XTR. :(

That's a good idea for posting Reflex demos. I've got some really cool auto demos that i've done with the Logo 10. I find that to be the best balanced heli in reflex as far as power and cyclic response is concerned for learning 3d moves.

Me too. Only, I put the Zoom clothing over the Logo 10. :D

they arnt hard in real life its like all manouvers its about collective timing, its easier to add some posotive first and watch the wind it can be weird
