...or at least, it will be from tomorrow.

I'm going to learn to fly control-line! I've done everything else but only worked as a pitman in c/l team race when I was but a lad. Now one of my old flying partners (the flyer of the said teamracers) is back in circulation (yes....)after a 30 year lay-off, he wants me to learn to fly his aircraft while he plays with the engines for a change. At least he hasn't got the pulse jet any more.

He's put up with me teaching him slope soaring and powered r/c, and we both fancy the nostalgia events in speed and racing.

Watch this space for pics of success or abject failure and eventual vintage c/l

Well, that was an anti-climax. It rained!

Next try during next week.

This should be interesting.

That's what I'm afraid of.

Oh, well, at least it's not my model and the grass is long and dense.

We needed the long dense grass! I launched the model as instructed,on the crosswind leg pointing downwind, but it was gusty and the model rolled in on my instructor who was just making sure the setup was right for me to fly.........

Some damage so another wait. This could be a long-running thread with not a lot of content!
