Is there any scale bodies made for the raptor, that go on with no mods? If so do they come in .30 and .60 ,or is it all the same?

For the 30 there are no 30 size fuses that fit without modifications to the heli. Specifically the long pitcharm gets in the way.
The R50 can be installed in the Funkey LongRanger 46 or Agusta 109 fuses perfectly. You can also use a R30 with a 50 tailboom setup.
For the R60 the Century H500 fits and TT just came out with a MD500 scale body for it.

According to that CenturyHeli link, you need to cut the pitch arm for the Long Ranger, and the Agusta says "possible match, may require more work"...

Here is my Agusta Coast Guard. This is Century Agusta 50.

What do they mean by "cut the pitch arm"? Don't they mean cut a hole for the pitch arm? I can't believe a heli as popular as the Raptor doesn't have a scale body avalible for it! Especially from Thunder Tiger, Crewdogg

I am currently building my Bell LongRanger (Funkey) for my Raptor 50V2. Fits without need for modifications, and the fuse-kit is realy nice!!

TT makes a bigger MD500 that fit the Raptors.

Cutting the actual pitch arm on the helicopter is whats required.

What you are dealing with is exactly why most people use the Ravens and Shuttles in scale bodies.

Boxer, can you take some pictures of your construction and how well the heli fits in the fuse? Thanks, Crewdogg

I don't get it. I thought the R50 and R30 had exactly the same mechanics, so why would the thirty need to cut the pitch arm and the 50 go in with no mods?

Are you speaking of the 90 size gunship?

It seems a few of us have been able to put a fuse kit on a R50, anyone do it with a 30 without major arm-cutting mods?
