Can anyone with experience with these two types (mono vs. bi) tell me the advantages/disadvantages of each. I am interested in the 3 D flying differences....it seems that the stiffer "box" bi-plane structure would make the bi-plane a better flyer but it seems the monoplane designs are more popular (numbers wise). I currently am flying a Hi-max pwr /blue foam "Extra"
and a Radical R/C Edge. I thought I might try a E-flite Ulimate if/when they are available. THX

i never had a tribute, but i do have a 3DX..adn they are really similar..

my ultimate just did not have the roll rate i wanted..it was a 33" i think..had razor 300 in gearbox and 3S li-po's..i should have made the ailerons a lot bigger and also used seperate servos for the ailerons..one just was not near enough...

the 3DX is a great plane...and i have seen many tributes and they fly just as well...

you will probably like either one, but i would go with the mono-wing tribute if it were up to me...

just my $.02 worth..

This thread probably proves the point that the forum needs renaming, since neither aircraft probably qualifies as a helicopter :)
