how to produce a .x file?

I've downloaded Metasequoia and produced my mqo file but when I try to load it into FMS it is invisible! I assume I need to produce an .X file (or is it a geo file?) but it won't let me unless I register it, and the web site says he only sells it in Japan.

What can I do? Is there a way to:
1) Use the mqo file in FMS?
2) Licence Metasequoia outside Japan?
3) Produce the X file some other way?

There seem to be plenty of non-japanese people doing this so I'm hoping I've missed something silly. If not, can someone convert it for me please? (it's in the zip file)

If you download the LE version of Metasequoia, you can save the model using "Save As" to a .X file.
