Guys,

I downloaded this add-on from Helihobby but can't seem to get it to work. I added the Piccolo files in the 'planes' folder into my existing planes folder and added the 'ColourScheme' downloaded folder into my Realflight folder.

I can see the Piccolo showing on my plane selection screen but when I select it it says 'This model is based on the Watt Not model which you do not have' but I do! I can see it listed, clear as day in with all my other aircraft. I've even flown it several times!

I am using Realflight Deluxe, Ver. 1.20 if anyone can give any help!

Cheers

Nathan.

The Watt-Not is in Real Flight G2
You can open your .heli file and edit the text to use the waat-not from your version. Just cut and paste the headers from the valid .heli files into the one you downloaded.

Hi Kaptkaos, and thanks for coming back. I'm still a bit confused though, I definately have 'Watt Not' on my version of Realflight, so I don't understand why it is not working.

As regards to changing the 'header' I am not sure what this means- I downloaded 4 files as part of the Piccolo add-on. These were:

Piccolo.BAK
Piccolo.pln
Sean.heli
Sean's Piccolo.BAK

I have no idea where the 'Sean' files fit into the add-on but they were in the download so I presume I need them. Do I need to open up one of the files then and change the text? If so, what do I open with? Notepad?

Even then, I'm not sure what to replace the text with! I have checked the spelling of the Watt Not I have on the plance selection screen, and it is the same spelling as what comes up in the error box I get!

Thanks

Nathan

Go to www.rcheliace.com
Download his Piccolo
Edit your Stock Watt-Not
Save it as Nathan-Not!
Open the Nathan-not.heli file with Notepad
Open the Piccolo.heli file with Notepad
The Header of the file will have a few lines that say the version of the software, the addon etc, and the Based on model
Just make the new .heli file header info the same as the one you created yourself.
This worked for me with G2, dont know about yours, but its worth a try.

Let us know how it works!

Kaptkaos- that works great!

The header on the heliace file said it was based on 'Concept EP' which I don't have on my Realflight so I switched it to 'electric' so it was the same as my original Watt Not file, I also took out the 'Add on disc 4' too and it works fine. The Piccolo sure is hard to fly though! I'm not sure if the Concept EP base would be different to the 'electric' one I am using though, which might throw out the physics? Anyhow, it works! Thank you so much.

That heliace site is awesome- do you know if I can add his 'fields' to my version too, and if so, how?
