Three scale Micro Helis - UH-1 Huey, OH-13 Sioux, Oh-58A Kiowa

Hi Everyone,

I just discovered this part of RC Groups, and thought I'd share a few of my birds with you that I have built over the past three years or so.

I'm not really sure if I should be posting this here or in Micro Helis, so I hope I haven't boobed!

They're all MicroHeli based (rotor dias from 500-550mm) and weigh in at around the 280-350g mark.

I've kept a common theme (Vietnam warbirds) for all three aircraft and two share a common real-life unit. I've got a couple more in development, but they are a way off yet..

Wow, I must say I absolutely LOVE your OH-13 Sioux, and you're Huey in Military attack mode is also very intimidating and awesome. If only a person could rig up an extra little channel to fire tiny bullets or rockets from the heli =D.

THe rockets thing has been done believe it or not. This site has a gasser with rockets http://www.wright-flyer.net/desertaviation/compacheweb/compachemain.html

It's also been done with a Piccolo Micro! Unfortunatley the video seems to have disappeared, but the thread about it is still at

Bwahahahahahahah, that's awesome! I figured someone would do it, but someone doing it with a piccolo micro gives me hope! Man, maybe I will look into a TX with more than 4 channels =D.

I wish I could track down the Piccolo video, it was way cool :). One pic was hovering at the end of a hall, while the armed pic tried to shoot it down with rockets, man it was a buzz :).
