Greetings all,
If this is the first area you've found about RC Sailing (or model yachting) then you may want to check out the many resources available at the American Model Yachting Association's website at
http://www.amya.org
There are over 300 pages there with over 1500 photos and graphics covering the 20 or so classes of model yachts (R/C Sailboats) that are recognized by the world's largest model yachting organization.
For beginner's there's a Getting Started section linked right from the first page that helps explain quite a bit, and keeps many beginner's from mis-spent hard earned money on an eventual regret....<g> ;)
There's also a Model Yachting Links page with links to many other discussion forums, some general and some boat specific. Also a huge Suppliers listing for everything from built ready to sail boats to all the bits and pieces to design and build your own...
