Can anyone tell me how to fabricate a plug that will let me use my EVO 12 with the new Reflex XTR flight sim?
I want to order the Reflex XTR sim, but I can’t find it available with a plug that will fit the EVO.
Has anyone been able to do this?
Thanks, Villious

Hi Villious,
if your Evo has the same connector as my Profi 4000 (it should, as far as I know) you need a 5-pin Din connector, signal is on pin 2 and ground is on pin 4 and 5 (the bridge between pin 4 and 5 is to switch off the HF module).
Best regards

Thanks F14! If I buy a Reflex XTR with a futaba connector, would I be able to take off the Futaba connector and solder on the 5-pin Din?

You're welcome... I was thinking about the connector, if it's the same you can buy Xtr with a Multiplex connector (when you order Xtr you should specify which connector do you need).
In the parcel you should find two cables, one with an usb connector and a mini-jack male connector and one (more shorter than the first one) with a mini-jack female connector and the right connector for your transmitter... the first one is the same for all customers, the second one change according to the owned transmitter.
Yes, if you've only the Futaba connector you can take it off and solder the cable on the 5-pin Din, please take note about signal and ground cable (i.e. don't invert them).
Best regards

I got in my reflex 4.03 today. It came with a USB to Din-5 plug that will plug into my EVO, but I can't get the software to see the TX. I looked at the wiring on the Din and it looks like the diragram I made below. It is not wired like your example above. Do I need to resolder the wires like your example?
Also, are the wire colors correct on the Din-5 that came with it? I don't want to accidently reverse them and mess up my EVO.
Thanks again for your help F14!

I re-soldered the wires to the Din-5 with the EVO configuration and it's working perfectly now.
Now that I've got it working, I have one more question. I know that once you plug the Reflex interface in, it disables the transmit function. Is it ok to run the TX with the antennna down and the Syth module in?

hi Villious,
happy to see it's working now!
I you've re-soldered wires like my example yes, you can run the tx with antenna down.... if not, I don't know if the synth module is working but you can easy understand it by using a receiver to check it.
