Has any tried this on a model yet?

The link contained on the web page is unfortunitly dead. What I remeber was on it was a glider with a high aspect ratio wing and on the opposite side was a low aspect ratio wing with what looked like a ladder on the wing tip. But instead of rungs it has airfoils. Accoring to the experimenter(s) the two wing were equal in their glide ratio. I've been wondering is these would work to improve the glide ratio of a lowaspect ratio wing such as a slow stick.

I've heard of that too. But the key is to find out what the section of the "feathers" is and what are the angles to set them too. Just some flat stock with slots stuck on will only hurt it I'm sure.
