Mmm. may have a couple of pics.

Theres a front end coil, RFC, main mix/osc/if chip, one or two ceramic filters, and I think a coil discriminator, possible a transitor and a decoder chip.

That's it basically apart from a smattering of R's and C's.

This is all I have handy right now.

Are you trying to fix you receiver or what?

Creating a new design from (kinda ;) ) scratch?

Yes mate exactly that. Trying build a surface mount mini rx, but having difficulty in getting all of the parts.

So you want to take the guts of the Jeti to make your DIY? Sounds a little self-defeating? ;) :)

*I'm only kidding around with you of course!*

Stick around. We are plagiarising successful designs left right and center. I've now got some ceramic filters, and some circuit diags.

Something is going to come out of this, tho I won't go for SMT yet. I'll make a trad design first probably. Then we can see what can be done afterwards to lighten it.

Ther are really several desing parameters to look at

- weight
- sensitivity (range)
- selectovity (how well it flies in company)
- out of band response (how well it flies around other transmitters not in the RC band).

I'd ultimately optimise for the weight because I fly small and alone.

But other adapations are definitely possible.

After looking at data sheet info, both parts seem compatible.

Most designers prefer doubling up two types of filter in series

1 mechanical and 1 ceramic filter

ie and sfu first then a cfu

Thanks for the reply
Actually I am collecting parts for RX22 from French design. It uses MC3362. The data sheets says SFU455Bs are for contact to IFTs. Will Bs also work with this French design?
