Hi i am wondering if anyone here has some plans for a battery tester for a transmitter, I know that there are the powermates which operate their checks on either a 4.6v or 6v selections, the tester also puts a load on the battery, this setup would be perfect if only you could measure a 9.6v transmitter battery. My knowledge of circuits is not the best in the world be can follow circuit diagrams and so on! Any information will be greatfully recieved!

mike,

have a look at brent danes web site there is a circuit there that uses an LM3914 ic suitably configured to read rx batteries........there is a spread sheet to down load that tells of the differing resistor values to enable an 8 cell battery pack to be read.......I've built several units for friends to use with their packs.....

Thanks very much chippie, this unit will be for a friend as well although might use one myself as i have found that some of the onboard voltage monitors are somewhat unreliable! anyway i`ll be off the check brent danes website!

Thanks
