hi guys
i said i would let you know how it fly,s it just about goes on
a speed 600 and 2to1 box with 12/7 prop. i think i am going to put
a brushless in on a box it comes out at 4 lbs hope to have the
new motor in it for chester fly in

Yerrs. At 4lb its a bit much for a speed 600. At least on 7-8 cells anyway.

You COULD try 3s LIPO and a 10x5 prop. A bit cheaper than a brushless and controller.

I agree with Vintage1 a 12X7 is a lot of prop on a 600@2-1 .

You might try a new gearbox with 3.3:1 and a 14-10 or 15-10. I fly a Record Hound with a Speed 600 and gears and even at 56 oz it flies well enough for me.

Also a switch to a hotter buggy racing motor would help raise the current draw and improve your power to weight ratio at the expense of shorter motor runs. But get the higher ratio gear box for starters.

thanks for the info . i was thinking about lipos like vintage 1
said. but i could try a buggy motor . or i could try both ???been laid up for a bit
but will think about it when i get building again going to CHESTER fly in
this weekend so will look to see what i can find
