Question is ,,, I would like to try the FS8 copilot on my project ,,but the FS8 only comes with an 8 channel RX and I need atleast 10 and 12 would work better as I have a Multiplex Evo 12 TX and my project now is using 11 channels !!!
Now has anyone run an 8 channel RX along with another say12 channel RX and controlled them with the same TX or any combo like this ???? I have done this on the bench and it works out o.k. ,,but wondering if anyone has done it in the air and if it worked???
Thanks

There is no reason why you can't use 2 RX - a lot of BIG scale fliers do this - 2xBatt, 2x 8ch RX, 2x switches, with primary flight controls on both, and half the aux controls on 1 RX and half on the other. This reduced the risk of having a kazillion dollars go splat due to a failure in the systems, and meant you could have a 12ch so you got the right surface combos on those. Some people had stuff like dual mixtures and fuel booster pumps rigged up to aux channels.

I guess I mean 2x RX and 1 TX has been done before. Just don't tangle the antennas. It can cause interferance probs.

I assume with the copilot you would stick it on the 8 channels you wanted it to help control, and the other 3 channels on the other RX.

Thanks for the conformation ,,I thought I had read some where that some of the big scale guys did this.
Yes.. I would put the 8 channel RX on the copilot running the airplane mode and the 12 channel would run the heli controls as they are all mixed to AUX channels so that the heli controls can be shut off when in airplane mode.
