Howdy folks:

I'm in the midst of combining several different sets of plans for the J3 into a 40" WS 'lectric foamie. I'll be using 2° dihedral in each wing (a tad over scale, and yes, it will have ailerons). I'm figuring on setting the stab to 0°. the wing (a bit fattened clark Y) to +2°, and the motor at -3° with 2° of right thrust.

Do these numbers sound right?

Thanx in advance,

Brad

I'd set the wing at 0 as well, unless its going to be a real slow steady parkflyer.

Flat bottomed sections where the flat bottom is parallel to the stab seem about right for me mostly. I guess in a way that IS about 2 dgrees incidence...if you take a lne from the center of the LE to the TE... Oh well. You know what I mean. I wan't sure what YOU meant - that's all..

I'd say thruist angles are near enough to start with anyway.

v1: yep, tht's what I meant. The center of the LE to the center of the TE at +2°. As I haven't really figured out a way to hold the wing on except with glue (which makes it kinda non-removeable), I'd like to be as close as possible.

Thanx for the "approval"
