digital receiver used with digital servos?

Mike,

Do you know of any problems using the digital HS-5245mg servos with a Berg-5 digital receiver, or any other digital receiver, FMA 8? Recently I lost a new plane on its fist flight due to lack of rang. After testing the radio I believe that the problem could be due to the combination of the use of a digital receiver used with digital servos. What do you think?

Did you range-check the set-up before flying (always a good idea with *any* new plane.

I've found that the FMA receivers (well the M5 anyway) only have about 60% the range of the Hitec 555 or Supreme so although I *love* them for my smaller models, I'm not brave enough to use them in a large model that might be flown at longer distances from the transmitter.

Funny, I found exactly the opposite. The ground range of both my Extreme5 and M5 are much better than my 555 and SuperSlim.
