T37 Vs Soling 1m

I like to order my first sailboat this weekend.Any comments on these two boats?Iam leaning to the tippecanoe T37 because of the wood construction and looks. There are no sailboats in my area,so class racing is not a factor.Just would like a nice non-scale boat for my local lake .

I am not familiar with the other boat you are considering so can not compare the two... I have built the Soling 1M for my wife and we are very happy with it... It sails like a dream and handles some pretty stout wind and seas here on our bay...

Take a look at my post: "Soling 1M... Soon to get Wet" in this forum to see what ours turned out like... Good quality kit, nice folks to deal with, and I think she turned out pretty nice for a "Clorox Bottle" :)
