I'm looking to build a F16XL (cranked arrow delta planform) for speed 400 or hot 480 size motors. Although I have flown flying wings before, I've never designed one... and I've never gone near a delta!

I'm at the early design stages at the moment. This aircraft isn't going to be massive (probably around the 30" span mark I would think, possibly even smaller) and I'm looking for Pico jet style performance. With this in mind what section would you recommend? Flat plate balsa with a little curvature added, or a "proper" flying wing section like MH64? This model will only be stand off scale, so I'm not going to worry if the root thickness is a little large as long as the handling is ok. Any ideas? :)

Electric Jet Factory used to sell a 400 powered XL. See if they have any left. It flies very well. :D

Thanks Bob, that's great - will undoubedly save me many not-so-happy hours of crashing prototypes!
