This is my choice in this catagory. It is a scaled down 1938 Davis "Big Gull".

My favourite old timer is the Black Magic, that's why I built two and when it comes to gliders I love the Keil Kraft Chief ( I finally got the plans for it a couple of months ago).

That 'little' Big Gull is quite striking. But one of my favorites, as it just seems to be the 'essense' of vintage is Ben Shereshaw's Mercury.

I copied this photo from an article here on ezone a while back but can't find the article any more.

The one in the foreground is the original size, almost 13 foot span. the blue one is 10 ft span.

Eut- Your Gulls are abolutely magnificent. I honestly believe that you could build a Wedgy and it would be pretty. Jim

I havent a picture of one but the Schiffermuller is a Different Old Timmer , it was originally a 25" rubber job . I have a set of "one day" plans at 70" for it and an OS60MkII open rocker 4st for it .

My plans were developed from John Pond plans, which have many errors in the ribs and formers. I can have mine(Pond's with corrections) copied.

I would be very interested in the plans, how much might you be asking?

I have an old "Jetco Imperial", (no photos yet), that I "inherited" from an old friend. I don't think it has been in the air in over 30 years and I was wondering if anyone had suggestions? Someone started to cover it with monokote and added control horns. (I think it was originally set up with pulse and piano wires as some are still visible.)

Any suggestions on how to treat this with the greatest respect? I don't want to damage it but it sure would be nice to see it in the air.

Plans, copy cost plus expenses. About $10 plus shipping depending on size.

Eut, from what I've seen of your work both in pics and personally at Jean back in 91 ANY model you build is automatically a candidate for "Prettiest Model". You are the consumate craftsman...
