I was wondering if there was info out there on how to set up a boats rigging to the servos. I searched and did not find anything significant. Rudder is self explanatory but I'm unsure on the sheets. THANKS

Bump????
Thump!

I want to know more about this too. I am going to try and build one of the US one meter class boats from the plans at the AMYA website.

What kind of boat are you talking about and what kind of sail servo do you have?

The simple answer to your question is generally you attach your main sail and your jib to your sail winch servo so that when your "throttle" lever is down, the sails are tight and when the "throttle" is up the main sail is about 90 degs to the centerline of your boat.

OK....that does answer my question..much apreciated, but I have to ask another. Is there a diagram that shows this?. I'm thinking of building a 1 meter boat from full scale plans (replica). The full scale is of course set up for human riders, but I am wondering how a "standard" setup is. I don't know if I'm expressing my question properly or not. Thanks for the info though it was helpful!!!

Spadinator, This is one of my favorite sites for information

Heres another:

I would suggest that you get a kit first and get the basics first before trying to build your own boat. Here's a good place to start:

I started with the 1m Soling and had a blast with it. If there is a local sailboat club, you might want to see what their standard boat is and start with their boat first. Once you get your feet wet, then go ahead and build your 1 meter and you won't have to reinvent the wheel.

Thanks for the advice and links!!!..I'll defenitely check it out. There are no sailing clubs in my area.......no place to sail 'em consistantly. Thanks Again!!!
