This place is great for combat cause you can actually fly lower than your standing. theres a huge drop off right over the other side of the runway and flying low is a great way to crash your oponent into the ground, or yourself right into a tree. :D

I fly open b class with 3 planes designed by other club members out of a flatbat and blue foam wing. these planes are great and so durable, much better flying and strength than anything ive seen to buy. with a thunder tiger 25 engine it does well.

Tuesday night became our new night. Field is too crowded on Sunday with all those boring pattern fliers. Tuesday has a few guys, so we can get lots of flying in, plus it is cooler in the afternoon, and Doug can make it on a regular basis.

pattern is very simalar to combat just with better flying skills and less smack from some punk.lol. i think that you should come on saturday that way i can show you to run into each other and make the most carnage. Kyle and i have experimented. lol

I agree with drewjet that pattern is boring and well..........just needs some streamers!! I havnt been out to the field for a while and the last time was cut short cause my dad stuck his finger in my OS 40.

The twin flew, but was a bit underpowered and the speed 480 wasn't happy hitting the ground, bent the shafts too easy, and would get sand in the bearings

BTW the event in Jacksonville is sometime in October.

Just got back from Dixie Nats. I got 5th in SSC, Slam got 4th, Billy was pretty far down.
I got 4th in scale, Slam got 5th. Billy didn't fly this class
I got 10th in Open B, Not sure where slam was. Billy had a bad day.

Sounds like everybody did good in nats......except billy. ssc is really taking off and is alot of fun from what ive flown. like to get one myself.

You really should get the SSC. It is possible that our next meet at our field may be SSC only.

really!! is everyone going to ssc? i dont think i can get an ssc plane goin cause i just finished a new open b plane. but i have to admit that when i flew ssc at the airshow demonstration along time ago it was a blast!! :D when do u think that event might be?
