hi all
i am just converting a FROG JACKDAW from a oilburner
to ELC going to put a speed 600 in it i used to fly one in
19?? somthing with a reed set radio in it and a merco 35
up front let you know how it goes

Hi A10 Driver.
I think you may struggle with a speed 600 particularly on direct drive. I am flying two old timers, a Super Scorpion with an Overlander Huricane on 10 cells geared 3/1 and swinging a 12 x 8 prop and a Junior 60 with a 600 race on 8 cells geared 2/1 and swinging an 11 x 7 prop. The jackdaw is a chunkier model than these so may well need more urge, perhaps consider a speedgear 700 on 10 or 12 cells.

I agree, tho without the reed set, and with LIPOS a speed 600 may just be OK.
